What: Help elders at a retirement home with computers and technical activities.

When: Saturday December 5, 1:30-around 3:00

Where: La Vida Del Mar Retirement Home

Approximately 2-4 people can attend. :D

Meet at TP at 1:00pm

Animal Care

Take care of orphaned dogs and talk to people interested in adopting them. The dogs need a home!
Hang out, walk them, feed them, play with them, and eat snacks. (Dog snacks and human snacks both provided.)

When: Saturdays, 10:30AM-2PM (WEEKLY EVENT)
Where: This Saturday, December 5th, the event is at Pet People, 2749 Via De La Valle.

There are no rides to this event, so please meet at the designated address. The location changes every week, so check the website!

Hannukah Happening

WHAT: A carnival-like event; there will be games, crafts, prizes, food, and even a silent auction! We would need the volunteers to help with set up, clean up, running the booths, giving away prizes, manning the food tables, putting out items for the auction, and other activities of that nature.

WHEN: Sunday December 6th, 10am-2:30 (or 3)pm

WHERE: JCC La Jolla

Amnesty's Movie Night!

WHAT: Watch a documentary type movie called "The Devil Came on Horseback," about the genocide in Darfur.
WHEN: Thursday December 10, 6pm-8pm
WHERE: Old AV Viewing Room
COST: Bring one NEW TOY. All will go to the kids at the Southern Sudanese Community Center of San Diego.

****The kids at this refugee center are relying on us to save their holidays. This toy drive is their only way on receiving toys this holiday*****

November DCM!

HELLO RED BULLS, I know we have had a crazy fun-packed two months of Key Club Spirit and Happiness, but try not to lose your stamina, we've still got our November DCM! (but this one is chill, promise)

When: SUNDAY, November 29th
If you are planning on attending the November DCM today, it is POSTPONED until 3PM - so meet at school at 2:30PM for carpooling. The event will run till about 4 to 4:15PM. Jennifer, our LTG is snowed in! so she can't make it on time. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Where: Rancho Bernardo Glassman Recreation Center (18448 West Bernardo Drive San Diego, CA 92127)

Reminders- It is required that all representatives attend DCMs, so if you are applying for a representative position right now, it's highly recommended you attend this DCM. Maybe it'll even help your application...

RUN FOR THE HUNGRY 10K/5K VOLUNTEERS

Run for the Hungry 10K/5K

This Thanksgiving before sitting down for a feast, join us by volunteering for this worthwhile event. Help us show San Diego's hungry we care.

When: Thanksgiving day- November 26, 2009

Meet at school at 5:15 AM, 6-11PM

Where: Downtown San Diego, Park & Imperial - PETCO PARK EAST

All volunteers receive:

1. Event t-shirt

2. Coffee and bagels before the event

Fall Rally

What: A day at Six Flags Magic Mountain with your favorite Key Club buddies!
**Join six thousand Key Clubbers this November for a day filled with rollercoasters, spirit battles, motivational program while fundraising for Pediatric Trauma Prevention.

When: Saturday, Novermber 14
10:30am-6:00pm

Where: SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN!!

COST: Will be around 60$ (give or take) for ticket, bus fee, and spirit supplies
It is all worth it!

We will be meeting with our entire division (all 15 something schools) to leave in buses together.

Silver Strand Marathon!

HEY GUYS!

There's an awesome event that allows us to do community service AND fundraise at the same time! The club gets $10 for every member that goes to this event, and this money will go to our DCON fund for District Convention of Sacramento, CA, in the spring. So if you are planning to go to DCON and are looking for a way to lower the cost, THIS WOULD BE A GOOD WAY TO HELP US DO SO.

What: Silver Strand Marathon

Where: Coronado (directions will be provided when you get to school)

When: 6-9AM--MEET AT SCHOOL AT 5:30AM. We will be leaving promptly.
