St. Vincent De Paul Village Dinners

When: Feb. 15, 22 and 29 from 4-7 p.m. both days. We will meet at Torrey Pines at 3:30. Please don't be late!

What: Help serve dinner at the St. Vincent De Paul Village Shelter soup kitchen!

You must have the Parent Authorization Form to attend, but you do not need to fill it out again if you have already volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. Also, please take a look at the conduct documents Procedure Letter and Food Handling. You MUST wear closed-toe shoes, pants and long sleeves to this event as we will be handling food.

Trail Clean-up

When: December 15th, Saturday. 10:00am-12:00pm

Where: San Dieguito Lagoon at Del Mar Fairgrounds

What: We will be removing non-native plants and begin preparing the land for planting.

Note: Please wear warm clothes and bring gloves, hats, and sun-screens if you have them.

* This will be an independent event so we will not meet at Torrey Pines and carpool together. Since I cannot go to this event, you need to contact me after the event and confirm that you were in fact there if you decide to participate.

Holiday Bowl Parade

What: America's Largest Balloon Parade!!!!!! You get to hold balloons in it!
When: Thursday, December 27th, 8 am - 12 pm
Meet at TP at 7:30 am
Where: Downtown San Diego

ICE SKATING!

What: Torrey Pines High School Key Club is hosting an ice skating fundraiser. This is to raise money for Torrey Pines Key Club.

Where: San Diego Ice Arena. This is located in Mira Mesa.

When: December 22, 2007. 12:45 - 3:00

Price: $15.00

Please remember to bring warm clothing, gloves, mittens, scarves, and most importantly, LONG SOCKS!

KPBS Winter Telethon

When? Sunday, Dec. 9. Meet at TP at 4:20. Event runs until 9:30. You can either stay the entire time or go for one shift. Shifts: 4:20-7:20 and 7:20-9:30.

What/Why? Help support our local television station! We will be on TV and dinner is provided. Take pledges (answer calls) and sell Doo Wop tickets, CDs, DVDs and memberships!

Gonzales Canyon Clean-Up

When: 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. on December 8th. Please meet there at 8:45 A.M. .

What: We'll be removing dead pampass grass and storm damage debris, and moving it all to a dumpster.

Where: From Del Mar Heights Road, turn onto Lansdale Road. Then turn left onto the unmarked road that leads to Torrey Highlands Park / Dog Park. Please meet across from this park at the gated canyon entrance.

All volunteers under the age 18 must sign this waiver. If you do not sign this, you cannot attend!!!

Please wear light, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and sturdy shoes becuase pampass grass can be sharp! Don't forget hats, sunglasses, sunblock, and water if you need them.

Race for the Cure

What: The even raises money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a cure for breast cancer. We will be working at the finish line, post race refreshments, and water stations.
This is seriously one of the most fun events of the year! Afterwards they have a bunch of free food and goodies.

Hanukkah Happening

When? Sunday, December 2 from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

What? Help run booths at the carnival, help with raffles, fun stuff!

Why? To support the Nierman Preeschool and the children at the Jewish Community Center (JCC)

Where? Directions: 4126 Executive Drive, in La Jolla. Take 5 South and exit Genesee Ave. Turn left off the exit and follow Genesee all the way to Executive Drive (about 2 stop lights before La Jolla Village Drive). On the right hand side.

KPBS Winter Pledge Campaign

When? SATURDAY, December 1. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m but we will meet in the front of TPHS at 6:20.

What? Volunteers will take pledges at KPBS and our club name will be on the air! Dinner will also be provided.

Why? To help support our local TV station!

Unicef Box Counting
