SHELTER ISLAND 5K RUN/WALK

What: Benefits the Injured Soldiers Program (injured U.S. Military) & San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation. All volunteers receive a Shelter Island 5K t-shirt and Sunday Champagne Breakfast Buffet.

When: Sunday November 8th, 2009 at 5:45 AM- 9:30 AM

Where: Holiday Inn, 4875 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego. (West of the airport on N. Harbor Drive)

Remember to sign up either at the meetings or email hoangcdpaula@yahoo.com. If you don't sign up, you'll only get HALF the hours!

Race for the Cure

One of our BIGGEST EVENTS of the year!

Race for the Cure is an annual event in San Diego to help raise awareness and fundraise money for research for breast cancer.

When: November 1st, 6AM-11AM (Meet at school at 5:30AM)

Where: Balboa Park

How: Sign up HERE as a general volunteer. Fill out your information, and put "TPHS Key Club" as your group name. In the additional comments section, say that you can volunteer from 6AM-11AM.

Please SIGN UP at the meeting email tphskeyclub@gmail.com if you plan on going. Remember-we will not give you full hours if you do not sign up!

Because this event is one of the most popular events of the year, please ask your parents if they can give rides so we all can get there :)

Memory Walk

What: All Memory Walk donations benefit the Alzheimer's Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
We will be at the finish line, cheering on the walkers with noise makers!

When: Saturday, October 24th
6:30 am- 12:30 pm
Meet at TP at 6 AM sharp!

Regional Training Conference (RTC)!

Interested in getting more involved in Key Club? Obtaining leadership positions?
Then it is highly advised you come to RTC!

What: Regional Training Conference. Every division in San Diego including ours (Division 37 South) will be attending this all day event in which multiple workshops and activities are run. The purpose for you to learn more about Key Club, positions within Key Club, and just to have fun.

When: Saturday, October 17
12:00am-8:00pm (we will most likely be carpooling to Homecoming! So bring your cute little homecoming outfits to RTC) **Meet at TP at 11AM so that we can get there nice and early to rehearse our beautiful cheers!**

Where: Scripps Ranch High School
--This is not very far, so for those of you Key Clubbers who never give rides, please try and give rides for this!!

***IMPORTANT NOTE*** BRING $10 for registration. Wear red/black/white (our divisional colors) and bring ALL your spirit.

Sage Canyon Fall Festival

What: Help out at Sage Canyon's annual carnival--face painting, serving food, hair spray, etc.

When: October 18
11:45am-4:15pm

Where: Sage Canyon Elementary School

There will be NO carpooling to this event since it is rather close.
