Resolution Run

What: Pre-event set up, posting up signs, putting up tables & chairs, registration packets, and other items needed for the race. All volunteers for any shift will receive an event shirt, goody bag, and refreshments.

When: Saturday, January 8, 2011

Time: 3pm-6pm (meet at school at 2:35pm)

Where: De Anza Cove, Mission Bay Park

Bumble Bee 5K

What: Assist with the registration of the Bumble Bee 5K.

When: Thursday, December 30th from 7:30am - 9:45am (meet at school at 7:00am)

Where: Holiday Inn San Diego-On the Bay (1355 N Harbor Dr)

TP Basketball Tournament

What: Help man a concession stand or hand out flyers and t-shirts at one of the largest high school basketball tournaments in the nation. Seventy nine schools will be participating in the tournament, which will take place at multiple gyms in the area, TPHS being one of them! Each shift will have two volunteers, so keep that in mind and sign up with a friend :)

When: December 27 - 30

Carmel Valley Homework Helpers

What: Help students with homework - any subjects and any grades!

Where: Carmel Valley Public Library (so no rides!!)

When: Tuesday, December 21st from 5:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Please be on time :)

MAXIMUM 11 VOLUNTEERS! There are currently 7 open spots!

KPBS Pledge Event

What: Volunteers help take phone calls on air at the KPBS studio. There will be PRIZES at this event! There will also be a brief tour of the KPBS studio after the event.

When: Saturday, December 11th from 10:45am-4:30pm (meet at school at 10:15am for rides)

Where: 5200 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182 (SDSU)

*Lunch, snacks, coffee, and other refreshments will be provided. Volunteers work shifts of 20 minute intervals, with plenty of breaks in between. Volunteers must also wear business casual attire.

*There is a MAXIMUM OF 8 VOLUNTEERS!! Unfortunately the spots have already been filled; however, still feel free to email to us if you are interested. That will secure a back up spot for you and will also show your interest in this event, which could attain you a spot for the next KPBS Pledge Event. We want all Key Clubbers to experience this fun event! :D

Special Olympics Floor Hockey Championships

What: Keep scores for games per team, track time in penalty box, and assist with start/finish timerat the Special Olympics' Fall Games Floor Hockey Championship.

When: December 19th, 11:00am-4:00pm (Meet at TPHS at 10:15am)

Where: Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, 500 Hotel Circle North, San Diego

*All volunteers MUST wear closed toe shoes and MUST bring their student ID or driver's license. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers.

Please fill out ALL sections on the registration form and type “Torrey Pines High School Key Club under Organization - be sure to click the “General Consent” box and double check your entries. Select “Scorekeeper / Timer - SUN PM” as your preferred shift. If there are no spots left, PLEASE LET US KNOW and print the attached form (signed) to the event, or you won't be able to volunteer. Don't forget to let us know if you are coming! There are 5 available spots, but if they are full, the only way you can still volunteer is by TELLING US THAT YOU WANT TO REQUEST A SPOT!
