The Child Abuse Prevention Foundation Donation Collection

What? The Child Abuse Prevention Foundation (CAPF) is an organization in San Diego whose goal is "to break the cycle of child abuse, through prevention, education, advocacy and funding." Key Clubbers can contribute to the funding! We will be collecting money (I will upload the sponsor sheets soon; 10 sponsors equates to one hour of community service), gift cards, videogames, toys, books, CDs and DVDs. All items must be BRAND NEW.

Why? We will be supporting the CAPF to help provide for the neglected and abused children in the emergency shelter, some of whom have been devastated and abandoned by the fires.

When? Please bring items to the Key Club meetings on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday Nov. 14! We really want to get these items in by this time so we can use Thanksgiving break to organize and distribute our items.

Please e-mail Nadia Farjood at nadia@farjood.com if you have any questions about items you would like to donate. Thank you!

Football Games Recycle Bin Moving

Key Club has been authorized by the school to move recycle bins from the campus into the football stands before Friday evening games, provided that we return them to their original spots before school begins each week.

This means that a special group should go after the regular Recycling group on Fridays after school and move the recycling bins into the stands. Please keep them spaced apart--we don't want to be blamed for crowding the stands! However, in mind that people are lazy, so make sure the bins are within easy reach.

It would be best for those who moved the bins to take them back, as they remember where the bins should go. This should be done either Friday night, after the game, or Saturday morning if possible. If it is not possible for you to return the bins sometime between Friday night and Monday morning, DO NOT MOVE THE BINS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Facilities will get annoyed at us if they are not moved back.

I hope for the recycling committee to head this effort. If there are any questions, please direct them to me, Jeffrey Tsao, by e-mail (jeffztsao@yahoo.com) or cell (858) 386-9916. Recycle, please!
