Fill out and bring this WAIVER to the event.
Our Volunteer Team will help with set-up, marking the course, assisting vendors, organizing goodie bags & t-shirts, assisting with parking, distributing food, working in the kids zone, making announcements, helping with screenings, etc. It's a fun day with music under the sun and next to the beach - bring sunscreen! Arrangements can be made for volunteers, who may be able to work only part of the day. When: Sunday, April 18th, 7:00AM to 12:00PM (Meet at school 6:30AM)
You can stay at the event until 4:30PM - but we will be leaving at 12noon. If you stay, please arrange your own rides back, and bring proof of your volunteering to anyone on the board. (Just ask for proof of volunteer hours)
Where: Oceanside Pier Amphitheater, 200 N. Strand, Oceanside, CA 92054
We greatly appreciate rides for carpooling! You get 30 minutes for providing rides.
Why: By volunteering, walking or attending the Fair, everyone will help raise awareness about ways to stop heart disease. Childhood obesity, Diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure are risk factors of heart disease and many Student Service Organizations from around the County come together on this day to help promote exercise and good habits. By volunteering at the health fair, you are contributing to a free educational service - teaching people how to prevent heart disease.
